Bansko ski resort is situated in the South-Western part of Bulgaria at the foot of one of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountains – Pirin. In 1962 this amazing part of Pirin Mountain has been pronounced as National Park “Vihren” and later it is extended and renamed to National Park “Pirin”.
The climate is transitional-continental with Mediterranean influence and on higher parts of mountain type.
Through the summer season when temperatures vary from + 25C to +35C this mountain paradise offers variety of leisure activities like hiking, horse riding, observing nature landmarks in the National Park “Pirin” - waterfalls, lakes, caves, century old trees and historic places.
